Publisher: Sordum
Description:
If you change the screen resolution (e.g. to play games or use applications that require a certain resolution), the desktop icons can get mixed up. With ReIcon (Restore Desktop Icon Layouts), the arrangement of the desktop icons can be saved and restored.
Features:
- Save many layouts of desktop icons for different screen resolutions
- Start ReIcon with Windows
- Restore a layout at every Windows startup
- Create shortcuts for layouts to be restored
- Add "Save / Restore Icon's Layout" to the context menu
- Align icons to the grid
- Restart Windows Explorer
- Show hidden files
- No installation required
- Unicode support
- Command line support (ReIcon_x64.exe /?)
Note 1: If the "Disable Auto-Arrange" option is NOT selected in ReIcon's options menu (it is by default) and the Windows desktop context menu item "View -> Auto-Arrange Icons" is selected, then ReIcon's "Restore Icon Layout" feature may not work properly. To prevent the desktop icons from changing their position after logging in, restarting or refreshing, please deactivate the "Auto-arrange icons" function.
Note 2: If you have several monitors and these monitors have separate icon structures, the "Align icons automatically to grid" function must not be selected in the desktop context menu after saving the icon position layouts, as otherwise the icons from the other monitor will appear on the active desktop. In addition, the Align icons to grid function should not be activated in the program settings (deactivate under Automatic arrangement).
