Publisher: Sordum
Description:
FolderPainter can change the color of Windows Explorer folders from the default yellow color and must be added to the context menu.
NOTE: Adding to the context menu is done by writing to the registry. The submenu supports Windows 7 and higher and only up to 16 entries.
You can choose from 3 pre-installed icon packs, 21 more can be downloaded. And you can also add your own icons to the icon folder in the program directory by pasting the icon files into the icon folder, naming them like the originals (01,02...) and changing the color names in the FolderPainter.ini file.
With the checkbox "Copy icon while in folder" the color of the folder is saved permanently by copying the folder icon into the folder. This retains the color of the folder even if it is copied to a USB drive and opened on another computer.
With the "Change icon for subfolders" checkbox, the change to the icon is transferred to all subfolders. The limit value can be set in the file "Icons\FolderPainter.ini".
Folder Painter has CMD Line support and does not affect system performance in any way.
