Search file in folders new implementation

Now with the possibility to open folders from SyMenu directly in TotalCommander I often have the situation that the name in the search result list is truncated.
Is it possible to make the width dynamic (depending on the widest item)? |

Issue handling shortcut links

@Coastie: With the extracted parameters in a shortcut for builing a SyMenu-item all would be fine. A shortcut linked to a shortcut is always "difficult" and can make problems (eg delete the shortcut linked to). But a shortcut with the SAME parameters to the original object is awesome.
Thank you Ginaluca for implementing this in the next release. |

I also would use this feature. Normally I always configure - if possible - to open an application maximized. |

Search window

Hi,
I really really often use the search in SyMenu - and often all is ok. ...but...
I use a hotkey for opening the search and then write something in the edit. There all is fine for me. But often I use the mouse to select a searched item to start it - and then the search window dispears because the focus with the mouse cursor. My cursor is left and the SyMenu is right and I move the cursor across the opened menu - and the search closes. OK, that's my fault - but maybe it's possible to only open the search window and not the whole menu...
I suggest a separate search window. edited by PoWi on 1/2/2014 |

Separate SyContainer window

My suggestion is an option to specifiy a hotkey for a SyContainer and if the user uses the hotkey only open the SyContainer as a stand-alone menu.
What do you think? |

Separate SyContainer window

My SyMenu is really big but well sorted in SyContainer. Often I know in which SyContainer the item I want is so it will be good to only open this SyContainer via hotkey. I don't want to have a hotkey for each simple SyMenu-item - only for really important items. |

I had the same problem: I use SyMenu with about up to 5 computers. I have a SyItem - AutoHotkey script - to start the programs depending on which computer I work. Would be nice to use only SyMenu.
Also nice suggestion, timrray! |

Suggestion: Search results with 2 or more lines

Hi Gianluca, I use very often the search for files in SyMenu, because it's really fast and great.
Therefore many of my files have "speaking" names - so there are much longer than eg 15 characters.
Would it be possible to show the filenames in 2 or more lines or simply make the search results wider? Maybe as option. I would prefer more than one line... |

I think I can't live without SyMenu.
I agree that the marquee effect could solve this. The speed should be adjustable by user. Should the text bouncing from the edges? |

The new 3.01 version is out and there is a surprise: I was able to add the marquee new feature directly in this version. ...
- enable (True|False) defines if the marquee is enabled
- reenterFormRight (True|False) defines if a text completely exits from the menu has to reenter smoothly from right or entirely re-appear
- initialPause (milliseconds) defines the initial pause before marquee starts to scroll the text
- scrollStep (>0) it's the pixel step for the text. It's updated every 30 milliseconds
First of all: Many thanks to Gianluca. He really increases the functionality and SyMenu is getting better and better.
I tested the marquee in the search-results.
I use the scrollStep with 2. The speed is fine for reading the result.
One thing I mentioned: This effect is not at all scrolling texts (I don't know why...): After the text scrolled out of the left - there is a pause - and then the texts scrolls in from right. That's only at few texts... The effect is that there is no texts for about 1 second. I suggest if the text disappears at the left border, let the text immediately come in from the right.
But the marquee is really nice and handy. :-) |
