If minor problems occur under Windows, e.g. if Windows Explorer freezes or you are not allowed to delete some files, it can help to restart Explorer. With Restart Explorer, this can be done quickly and easily without having to restart Windows. It does not have a graphical user interface - it simply restarts File Explorer.
The difference to other programs is: If you open My Computer, Control Panel, Recycle Bin or other folders where Explorer does not show a folder path and restart Windows Explorer, these windows will be closed. But with "Restart Explorer" these windows can be restored. It can also be used to refresh Windows Explorer and restore the icon cache. With the command "Rexplorer_x64.exe /?" all supported command line parameters are displayed.
