Nirsoft password recovery programs sometimes falsely come up as a positive. If you read the description of what your virus scanner found it usually tells you it's a hacking tool not a virus. The symenu and nirsoft programs are trusted applications that are virus free. I've been using both for a long time.

28/10/2015 Topic: A few bugs I've noticed Drakkn	Hi Gianluca, I've noticed a few bugs and thought I'd let you know what I found. -interval option slidebar in the autoexec area of the options>menu doesn't change anything. It can be manually set in the config just fine though. -when dragging items to symenu configuration tree pane it will autoscroll down but not up(during the drag process). -icons not always pulling from exec's. -after dragging items into the configuration tree for a little while the icons shuffle themselves randomly in the configuration tree. It has to be saved+closed then the menu completely shut down and restarted. This may have something to do with the amount of items I have. I'm not sure. I have a whole lot of directories and syitems.It has always happened after adding syitems but it seems to happen within 10 additions now. Thanks for writing such a great launcher!! 28/10/2015 Topic: SPS in symenu Drakkn	Hi Gianluca, I like the whole idea of SPS and I would like to use it but I have an issue with its implementation into symenu. The symenu SPS plugin does not allow me to customize the home directory. I have a main portable apps directory and symenu is under that directory. I'd need SPS to manage the items it has in that directory and not the program files directory under symenu. I use 3 separate symenu directories to basically have profiles. I have a normal launcher, one that includes extensions, and one that has extensions and autorun startup items. I copy my symenu.zip file and the icons into the other 2 installations when I modify the menu list and readd my autostartups on the 3rd one. Anyways, if I use SPS in this way I only have access to those programs in one of the "profiles". It would give me errors in the others because the program files directory is empty in those. If SPS can be used in a directory above itself and not mess with any of the other programs I could use it. I think SPS is a great concept and have read your posts on it at portablefreeware. 29/10/2015 Topic: SPS in symenu Drakkn	2) there are some users that want to customize the physical ProgramFiles folder location. I think this would work great. Even using a symbolic link. My drive is fat32 though to support uefi booting from it also. If I could move the programfiles directory to wherever then configure the spssuite to look for it there.
15/11/2015 Topic: Version 4.14 recopilation of Bugs & Issues Drakkn	I just tried the favicons feature for the first time. It seemed to work great for the sites that had one displayed. I copied and pasted these links that you listed here and it doesn't seem like they are using the icons. Maybe its my browser. Do you see the favicons in your webrowser at these sites when you visit them in the browser's address bar?

29/12/2015 Topic: The fully customizable menu: beta version Drakkn	Great job with all these new changes! I'm really liking it. I noticed 1 bug and wanted to let you know. If I use an & symbol it doesn't show up in the menu. I'm trying to use it in a folder and the & symbol doesn't show up. It places the space before and after but the symbol is not there. I'm not sure if there are any other symbols that do not work but I definitely noticed that one.

30/12/2015 Topic: The fully customizable menu: beta version Drakkn	I found another issue. When using my menu on certain computers the main menu gets shortened with arrows at the top and bottom. There is plenty of room on the screen for the full menu to show. It also uses the small pre beta arrow bars instead of the big ones.
28/01/2017 Topic: icons folder inflating!!! Drakkn	I ran into this same problem. It turned out to be a problem for me because when mine got over about 4,500 icons the configuration interface wouldn't let me add items anymore. I cleaned it down to 1 icon per item (took an incredibly long time) and it became usable again. I've always had a weird problem with the icon cache because of the amount of syitems I have but that shut me down. It would be nice to have a mechanism like "scanning for unlinked items" that scanned for unused icons but I think it would be nearly impossible. I had to go through the icons folder and reduce them all to 1 copy. Then I had to go through the configuration interface and relink the programs with the single icons.
