Love using SyMenu for running portable apps in a portable mode without the need to install it. Thank you for your hard work and effort.

I have issues with Brave, although I don't think that the issue is only related to Brave, it relate to programs that have lots of saved data.
Brave has 4g of data saved in the profile, when trying to update it with the new version, it ends up failing since it does have not enough space on the drive to clone the entire 4g and then install the new version. However, the installation/updating process needs only to replace a couple of files and folders, without touching the Brave user files. When copying those files manually, its works without the need to clone everything.

Is there a solution to low space using portable apps?

Some programs dont auto update

I notice that not all program getting updates in the same way. Some like FireFox and Tor seem to maintain version 0.00, even the file in the their directory is '0.00.sps.version'. When updates arrived, SyMenu do not update them as all other programs and I dont get notification that there is new update (auto-update in the program is deactivate since I assume SysMenu do it)

Other programs like WinSCP, got an update, but SyMenu did not update the program itself, it just update the versioning file from `5.19.4.sps.version` to `5.19.5.sps.version` without update the program itself. I know that because once I run it, WinSCP notify me that there is new update.


Is there a place I can find what programs get update by SyMenu and which one does not? also, how to get notification that there is new version for the exist program?

I would prefer that SyMenu will update all the programs that can be installed via its menus.

Joplin Portable not able to start from SyMenu

Hi all,

When trying to open JoplinPortable from SyMenu the process seems to start (according to the task manager), but the process almost immediately close. When run the application directly from its directory using windows file explorer the application run as usual.

Does anyone know what can be the problem?

Yes, you are right, the below parameters seems to appear after the last update (also when the app stop working):
Advance tab --> Enable advanced parameter --> Environment Variable
USERPROFILE=.\USERPROFILE


Disable the environment variable solve the issue
