You should use a single thread for new updates and not create new threads for them.
XYplorer version news, all in one thread.
Easy to see, impossible to miss. Always stickied to top in thread list.

It could be a valid approach but I like to have feedback from the users for every version.
Probably a better solution could be to create a new discussion channel dedicated to the new versions, couldn't be?
