Hi, greetings from Italy. I've been using SyMenu for a couple of weeks, and it's amazing, I love its flexibility and the features it offers, I think it's the best of its kind of apps.
Let's start from the search bar is really one of the features I use most often, even if its layout and mechanism does not make me crazy. I had read something about improving the search bar on a post, so I look forward to new versions of SyMenu. For the search mechanism element bar, I'm happy to find it simple and fast, I would not mind in the future will be implemented features such as integration with Everything. So in the catalog of the app, I found Listary (similar to Everything regarding the functionality), a very good and fast search tool with an attractive design, from which I was inspired.
The Search Item Bar goes from the Contextual Menu through the appropriate entry, and shows a panel on the side with the search box and respective results. Personally it seems excessive that panel of over 500px. The same concept also applies when I use the shortcut for the search bar, in addition to showing the Search Item Bar panel there is also the Contextual Menu So I decided to adopt a hypothetical change for the Search Item Bar that I made with GIMP .

So considering that the context menu is navigable with the mouse or with the arrow keys. With the arrows arrived at the desired program if you continue (right arrow), the contextual menu is closed while with Esc the submenu is closed, is it a bug? On the forum I had seen some posts about the pretty boring and slow mechanism to uninstall an app from SyMenu. Here too I made a hypothetical change ...

These two changes, I personally find them very attractive. With this topic I'm not going to criticize the fantastic work and commitment dedicated to SyMenu, I just want to show a possible change (in better I think) that you could consider. Let me know what you think about it.
Thank you , Eduard.

Hi Eduard,
Welcome to the forum. I always love when a new user arrives because it brings new ideas and, I have to admit, yours are great!
Your solution to have the action modifiers as an extension of any item, in the form of a dropdown menu, is really smart. I have no objection to implement it. Probably it'll be technically hard to develop it but I'll do my best, because I like the solution so much and it allows me to extend the idea in the future. It's a good solution even because it expands the native action modifier tool without replacing it.
The search bar you read about in the forum is not the contextual menu ones, but the SPS app manager one. A powerful search for SPS has been lately strongly requested by several users and it's a priority. Anyway I like your solution to split the contextual menu search bar from the results is brilliant. Some of the details you are suggesting are not feasible but I can implement the main concept.
