Defunct menu item indicator

I was wondering, are menu items monitored at any time, ie, at startup? It would be helpful if any apps that were deleted, yet still remain in the symenu list, could have some kind of indicator to show the app no longer exists.
This is one feature I liked about ASuite. It shows a red circle with a white exclamation mark for its icon when the app has been removed physically or it's name/path changed, but the menu item remains.
Another way to indicate this could be to change text colour for that item.
This function is useful in at least two ways - 1. Helps keep unofficial apps and their respective items in check, keeping the menu clear of junk and the user can then be sure if apps are missing or not.
2. This is my reason for requesting this feature. I have around 300 apps in symenu, the majority are rarely used, some never and are just backups in case something else fails, such as a bad release of an emulator or something. So I'd like to have two menus, one as a backup and one main menu with main apps. But instead of just having apps I use, I'd have the full list. But here's where the indicator would be useful to me... The apps missing would be highlighted by text colour or icon. Should updates to this be required, I can simply copy the full menu settings to the basic menu folder.
There may be other ways this could be useful too? edited by sl23 on 06/01/2017

It's surely a nice feature. Currently you have the Scan for unlinked feature that do something similar but you have nothing like you describe. Apparently the Scan for unlinked is a very fast process so implement it when the menu starts shouldn't create performance issues. I have to test it better but it's definitely in my TODO list now.
