I moved all of them in the main suite. This way the updates will be published weekly while the separated suites have longer publication intervals.
The NirSoft will be the next.
If you want to easily find all the Sysinternals you can use the Publisher filter inside the main suite. |

Ok guys, I'm here to confirm that a full theme configuration will be available from the next version (6.10). It will work this way: if you change the theme for your contextual menu, you'll get the same theme in the configuration forms too. That way the chosen theme will be consistent all over the application.
The forms have several controls that are not used in the contextual menu, think about the radio and check buttons, the panel borders, the treenodes and so on.
I choose not to allow a full change of every color for every control to avoid this kind of complexity. For example the radio buttons will remain blue, so please don't use that exact blue tone for the background otherwise you will lost all your controls
The general effect is not so bad and gives a feeling of consistency that I like so much.
Anyway if you have suggestions or requests this is the right time. |

Google chrome outdated

Yes, it is.
We can't distribute the original Chrome version because it's not portable at all. So SyMenu Google Chrome is a thumbapps' re-package version. Unfortunately Ronny, the mind behind the thumbapps project, is gradually abandoning his activity and his programs become increasingly outdated. If someone knows another Google Chrome portable version I can change the source for SyMenu, but the last time I checked the Ronny's one was the only one. |

Nope.
I can add Chromium as a new program but, although Chrome uses its same engine, they are completely different.
So Chroumium can't be a good replacement for the thumbapps' Google Chrome. |

Too bad, because it works the same way though? and royalty-free, don't you think? otherwise I install chrome on ssd. Why you said that? I've just added Chromium as a new program. You'll find it among the SyMenu Suite starting from tomorrow. So it's up to you to decide if you want to continue using the outdated Chrome portable or to install the new Chromium.
Tomorrow you'll have both choices. |

With the next version you'll be able to change the border color and every other graphical element. The border thickness instead will remain available with the direct edit of the configuration because it is not originally available in the context menu. In the future I'll decide if allowing to edit it directly inside the theme tab. |

I'm very sorry for the trouble but I carefully avoid developing something for a once-in-a-life change. Even more because the Sysinternals tab is not removed and the programs are still all there, working. They are just no longer automatically updated. So, before removing the tab and all its content, install the programs you want to preserve in the main suite please.
The other question is about the lack of any publisher information in grid.
If you want to list all the programs form a certain publisher, please use the search filter instead. Indeed I think that the grid is already too cluttered. In the future the search will be improved and the grid will lost some columns.
The columns I really want to suppressed are Category, Release date, Virus Total because, IMHO, they represent completely useless information when you read a list.
Naturally the detailed information will remain available in the bottom area because they are valuable when you read a detail.
But, as usual, if anyone as a different idea, please let me know, we have a lot of time before I start developing these changes. |

How many Sysinternals apps did you install before the change? Because today you should see all the installed apps with the "Discontinued" label.
Since you see nothing, I suspect you haven't installed anything from Sysinternals before and in this case you have the correct feedback: empty grid.
Is my assumption right?
Regarding the NirSoft tab.
If you installed two programs from NirSoft, when the tab is discontinued they'll remain available in the NirSoft tab (and in your PC and in SyMenu). You can choose to remove them all and reinstall them from the main suite or to leave the NirSoft tab where it is indefinitely or to install the programs from the main suite and leave them in the NirSoft tab, nonsense but yet possible.

Personally I feel you should just move them to the main tab - and then remove the respective tab - less work, less confusion..... You are probably right but, as I told you, I always try to work as little as possible for a once-in-a-life feature. The time I can devote to SyMenu must be as productive as possible. |

SyMenu running in Elevated Mode

SyMenu can run in elevated mode in two cases: 1) the user asks the elevated mode explicitly 2) the user executes SyMenu from a program that is already in elevated mode. If you are working with an elevated user, and probably the MS account is configured this way, everything you execute will inherit this mode, even SyMenu. |

Luckly SyMenu alerts you with the little shield when is running in elevated mode. Anyway find the app that launches SyMenu and you'll have your offender. |

You have a folder named "woqq0yoq.do4" inside your [SyMenu]\ProgramFiles\SPSSuite Remove it and the tab will disappear. |

It depends.
In my case I use an explorer replacement (Unreal Commander) but you can launch an executable from a command shell, from a vb script, from a scheduled task, from a program launcher, from a macro, or even from an open file/save file dialog.
In every case the executable inherits the elevation level from the launcher.
Explorer.exe is not essential to Windows to correctly work. If you want to experiment, try to open an explorer replacement program and kill the process Explorer.exe. Nothing will change in Windows except for the disappearance of your desktop and start menu. |

Thanks for the extra "theming" Gian, Can't wait for these changes. I am a little disappointed that not all controls will be themed though
Maybe these can be added at a later date? It'll be impossible.
Theming a form is fairly simple because I need to change its colors, the border and other properties. Theming a control is far more difficult because I need to redraw it entirely.
Redraw a control means to take a pen (virtual one), track a line/circle/rectangle, draw a string if a control has a text, define what happens during the mouse events... It's a huge job. When in the past I changed the SyMenu controls with the current ones, I used an open library (https://github.com/IgnaceMaes/MaterialSkin) that is partially skinnable (light theme and dark theme) and, despite this, it was a massive job. |

What...? Is Google translator so good in translating entire sentences today? Time ago the automatic translation was only good for single words or... to have a laugh
Anyway let's go to your questions. 1) SyMenu fills the recent list only with programs under its control. If you executed a local program through a linked folder you won't find it among recent. 2) Nope. It would be a huge development for a feature you use at most once in a life. You have to import and the manually organize the imported items. Sorry.
3) There is not an "include option" but since SyMenu imports only .exe and .bat files, you can add a global ignore option such as this one: *.bat. The result will be the same as you'd use the *.exe include option. |

There is another reason for which the import from file system will remain as it is today.
Often I receive requests from people that want to use this feature to import their program collection in SyMenu. Typically these program collections come from PortableApps or Liberkey or whatever.
If you act this way you are losing the SyMenu best feature that is the automatic update of your programs. SyMenu is able to maintain your programs updated only if you "install" them with its own tool (Get new Apps). And if you use the native SyMenu suite to install all the programs you are interested in, probably your need to import from the previous ones will reduce dramatically.
Can you confirm that the native SyMenu suite contains the majority of your program? Otherwise what kind of programs you are using?
Is it possible that a so big slice of programs are still outside the SyMenu native suite? |

For first, welcome to the forum!
Go to the configuration form.
Add a "Web Url" item. In the URL field put the link onenote://blabla.
SyMenu will tell you that the URL is invalid but you can safely ignore this alert. Save.
From now on, you can execute your url link from the context menu. |
