For the life of me, I cannot see any captcha, and this message appears in red inside the login popup.
I have a fiber Internet connection and the latest updated version of Windows 11, updated today. I was on 2 weeks vacation, and came back to this issue.
My SyMenu version is 8.01.8833
Please see the screenshot.

My answer is really simple: are you online?
The captcha is downloaded from this web site so your SyMenu needs to be able to reach it. I suggest you check your connection and check your firewall. If you don't receive the captcha you are offline so there's no sense at all to access the Get new apps form because you need to be online to use it.

I was afraid I would get this answer. I am very much online. I am not a newbie on the internet. I wouldn't be able to send you these messages without a connection. On top of that, I have a fiber connection, and I watch all my OTT shows on my computer.
I could send you a Speedtest screenshot if you like.

Unfortunately I have to start from the obvious because I don't know you. The next test is to check if you reach the captcha dispacer available at this url https://www.ugmfree.it/api/v2/CaptchaApi/[your GUID] with your browser.
If you successfully reach it, it means it's probably a firewall rule that is blocking the SyMenu request. In that case, please, check your firewall
In the meanwhile, since you have to get your GUID to complete the captcha url request - BTW you'll find it in your SyMenu configuration file and it's called guid - please send it to me in private so I can check if any error is available in the web site log.

After putting in that GUID, the URL takes me to a black page with a captcha... That's it.

Since it's exactly what it is expected you have to accomplish the second part of my request: "If you successfully reach it, it means it's probably a firewall rule that is blocking the SyMenu request. In that case, please, check your firewall"

So I have finally got it to work by allowing it as an exception in BitDefender's Firewall.
Also, the moment I installed 8.01.8833 a few weeks ago, BitDefender threw up false positives so I had to whitelist it in the antivirus.
So effectively I got it to work by first whitelisting it in BitDefender, and then ALSO allowing it in BitDefender's firewall when the updates did not work.
Not sure if lay users who download it for the first time would find SyMenu useful if it doesn't work the way they want it to because of these issues.

Unfortunately I can do nothing against the AVs false positive reports. And seeing what is happening to the suite programs too, I can affirm that the false positive problem is becoming increasingly worse for all the AV software. Probably the AV operation based on byte pattern recognition is starting to show its inherent limits.

It is my opinion that they are outsourcing the virus recognition function to some incompetent AI bot.
