Hi!
I'm seeing some Discontinued Applications, like SysInternals Suite, Handbrake, and some others.
Handbrake for example is very useful.
Is there a reason to discontinue the distribution of these applications?
Thanks

Yes there is.
Handbrake is now available in another version, the Handbrake portable (x64) while the Sysinternals suite is now merged in the main suite. BTW welcome in the forum!

Hi!
Ok, i understand that. But is easier for the SyMenu user to update the applications using the update feature than have to download and uncompress the zip file. This is one of the Main reasons that i use SyMenu. Some applications have the portable version but using the auto update from SyMenu is much easier.
I think you should consider that.
The SysInternals has lots of small applications/utilities like NirSoft and having them on another tab would have a better organization, i think. If they are all mixed up with all other bigger applications they are a little lost. And some are even for the command line.
These are just my opinions as a user, that i would like to contribute to the project.
Thanks --- NOTE: Some background of my use: I used to have a menu called PStart, and i was always looking for portable apps in the www.portablefreeware.com to create all my applications and organization of portable apps, but it's some time consuming when we need to update. I'm using portable apps for more than 15 years, and using apps like SyMenu and PortableApps.com it's great because it's very easy to update and to find new portable applications and solutions very fast. I almost install nothing on my computer and use all the free portable apps i encounter. And every time i need a new app i find free and portable solutions for my needs. Not depending of a computer is great.

If we decide to switch from an application to the corresponding portable version the reason is only to grant you the maximum portability.
In the magical SyMenu world the update process is exactly the same when you download an exe package or a zip package. Indeed as a normal user, if you want, you don't need to deal with the package type.
To make an example the Handbrake portable version from https://portapps.io/ is cleaner than the previous version and SyMenu will take care for its updates from now on.
I don't know if the switch makes sense for you now.

In a future version I will implement an option to save a custom search. So if you often search for Sysinternals, you can save the search and have it in a form of a button. Nice and comfortable, more than a tabbed solution.

You're right, i didn't saw that you had "Handbrake Portable" available. That is really better to have the original portable version than the other.
Great, Thanks.
