Search not indexing folders

Hi,
I've added a few folders to the configuration in part for quick access to certain subfolders as well as the ability to quickly search a folder name and open it's contents from the SyMenu searchbar. However it doesn't seem to be indexing these folders. Do I need to run in admin to take advantage of this feature?

Nope. The administrative mode is useful for other tasks. The folders are indexed only if you are using the linked folders. The SyContainers instead are only grouping elements and there are no reasons to find them in search.

Thanks for the quick reply! The folders are setup ask links. I've made sure the "searchable" option was checked on the links but still no dice. Is there something I have to check in the preferences or is there some way to "jump-start" the indexing process?

Probably you haven't enabled the Search in File System options. Read here https://www.ugmfree.it/SyMenuManual.aspx#SearchItems4 and please tell me if it works this way.

Just tried that but still nothing appears. The blue dots cycle back and forth but nothing appears in the search results. SyMenu is currently running from my Desktop folder. All the others aspects of the search seem to be working. Is it a glitch with Windows 10? I'm currently running Windows 10 Pro.

Windows 10 is not responsible (this time). Are you sure you are allowed to enter the indexed folder with the user is executing SyMenu? I told you that the administrative mode is useless with the search, but at least you must be allowed to access those folders.
