Set Focus on Search Bar Not Working

I've tried out the option for "Set Focus on Search Bar", but does not seem to work too well because it doesn't have focus. Like if I press my hotkey to open SyMenu, I see the Search, but can't type in it unless I click within the search box. Be nice to have the search box grab the focus so I don't have to take my hands off the keyboard as much.
Maybe it already works that way, but not for me so far. I'm on Windows 7 Pro.

I've been playing with it to get more detail and it seems to work about 25% of the time. When I press my hotkey, I'll just be toggling the files or whatever I have behind SyMenu when it opens, but sometimes it will start typing in the Search Box instead.
It seems to just be random, but most of the time it doesn't work. Great feature, but be nice to press my hotkey and not have to click on the search box to start searching.

Hello nicedreams.
What is your shortcut? If you use Windows key maybe it can cause some problems because it's used by start menu too. The same problem could be caused by some other applications that use the same shortcut. Anyway try some other shortcuts to check if that solve your issue.

The current shortcut I'm using is "Alt+F1". I also have a mouse button on my Logitech that just uses the hotkey when pressed.
I've already tried the difference between using only the hotkey or the mouse and it's the same.
I will try another hotkey combo and let you know.

I have had exactly the same thing happen to me. When I hit the hotkey for SyMenu sometimes it would randomly not set the cursor to the search bar. I'd then have to click right on the search box to make it activate. This become quite annoying so I switched to another key launcher. My hotkey was set to "Alt + Q"
Btw, I'm on Windows XP Home Edition (SP3).
I hope this bug can be fixed or that we can at least find out what is causing this strange problem with the search box. I'd sure like to use SyMenu again as it's such a great program, but that problem is just too much of an inconvenience for my work flow.

Hello to all.
Finally I reproduced the issue on an XP machine and I solved it. Resolution will be available from next SyMenu version (1.11).
Thank you for your report.
