I did some tests to figure out what is going on. So:
i launched firefoxportable.exe using Run As Administrator from compatibility menu did the same think (displays only splash screen, firefox does not open)
i used a new installation of firefox.paf.exe using the SyMenu.Admin.exe to launch the firefoxportable.exe the same as above.

Last but not least i enabled run this program as compatibility mode for -> windows 7 then -> launched firefoxportable.exe using SyMenu.Admin.exe It Works...

When launching the application (firefoxportable.exe) using the SyMenu.Admin.exe always fails to open after the portableapps Splash Screen.
When launching the application (firefoxportable.exe) using the SyMenu.exe i have no problem.
